Samsung 750 Evo SATA 3 Solid-State Drive (SSD) with 120GB and 250GB Capacity

This is my first attempt to cover a 2.5-inch solid-state drive (SSD) to continue my quest in technology blogging. Last week, I tried to compare an LPDDR memory of mobile devices against the typical RAM of portable, desktop, and tower PCs. And now, I want to start following these high-performing drives in Chinese websites and other reliable sources.

Let me start with Samsung 750 Evo, a 2.5-inch SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) 3 SSD drive with 120GB and 250GB variants. This internal model is also compatible with the former SATA 2 and SATA 1 ports. And it is a plug-n-play device loaded with its own driver for any supported machines.

Furthermore, Samsung 750 Evo can offer a read and write speed of a whooping 540MB/s and 520MB/s respectively unlike with a typical 2.5-inch hard disk drive (HDD) that can only reach a maximum of 76MB/s and 54MB/s only. It can perform five-times the speed of any conventional mechanical drives.

For now, this model is currently available for about $50 (for 120GB model) up to $80 (for 250GB model). And probably, a portable version of 750 Evo is also available for a much higher price tags.

In addition, this model is also ideal for gaming rigs for massive PC video games due to its responsive performance.
