Roundup: Asus New Line of Transformer 2-in-1 Tablets and ZenFone Android Smartphones

Maybe, Asus is not a prominent brand for 2-in-1 and convertible tablet computers. But for the pasts few months of existence, their very own line of products captures the hearts of global users. And something is really excellent and necessary with the Asus brand compare to other models from Chinese manufacturer. They have a top of the line machines that inspired other manufacturers to improve and develop a closer specs as possible.

Aside from a very surprising sleek and thin ZenBook, Asus brought up a new line of 2-in-1 and convertible tablets, the Transformer 3. Before the appearances of third generation Microsoft Surface Pro, the Taiwanese manufacturer introduced their very own Intel Core i7 powered ultra-portables with different screen sizes to the global industry.

To start with the most powerful and widest version, the Transformer 3 Pro (T303). This model is equipped with the new generation of Intel Core i-series paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of solid-state drive (SSD) storage. Next is the standard bearer, the Transformer 3 (T305). This model is also treated with the same processing chip from Intel and few indifference with specs. However, this model comes with a maximum of 512GB solid-state drive (SSD) storage.

And here comes the smaller yet powerful line, the 10.1-inch Transformer 3 Mini (T102). This model is equipped with Intel Atom Cherry Trail X-5 series just like of other 2-in-1 and convertible Chinese brands. It has a maximum of 8GB of LPDDR3 memory and with either 256GB or 512GB of SSD storage.

In addition to the new line of Asus Transformer 2-in-1 tablets, all variants are also treated with Thunderbolt 3 technology from Intel.

Next to the appearances of Asus Transformer tablets, the company also introduced the new line of ZenFone. These new generation of blockbuster handsets are now treated with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chips in three different models rather than Intel Atom processors.

Among the three variants, ZenFone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) offers a much wider display, 4GB of LPDDR3 memory, and up to 128GB of solid-state drive (SSD) storage. This model is equipped with Sony IMX 318 laser technology (which is also available in other variants) and exclusive Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 CPU at 1.8GHz.

And next is the 5.7-inch ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL). This model is treated with 64-bit Qualcomm Snap 820 at 2.2GHz, 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of SSD storage. I cannot deny but it is the top of the line model from the new generation of ZenFone.

Lastly, here comes the standard or flag bearer of Asus, the 5.5-inch ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL). It is less powerful compared to the other above mentioned models but powerful enough to cater the needs of prospect users. For specs, it is treated with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 at 2GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of SSD storage.

These new line of portable machines from Asus are all loaded with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), the newest platform which is about to rock the other upcoming handheld devices. Prices of these new generation of ZenFone starts at about $250 up to $600 or $700 base on user's selected configuration.
