Asus Transformer 3 Mini is Bigger and Not Lighter Than iPad Mini 4

From the word "mini," you may think of Apple's blockbuster iPad Mini. However, it is not the case with Transformer 3 Mini (T102), a new line of Microsoft Surface Pro like 2-in-1 and convertible machines from Asus. Following the appearances of its big brother, the Transformer 3 Pro, its the smaller version along with the same line of products.

Transformer Mini is also equipped with Intel Core i-Series of CPU (7th generation) just like of ZenBook 3 (line of ultra-thin laptops from Asus) and the above mentioned model. But it is less powerful due to its 8GB of RAM and standard 512GB solid-state drive (SSD) storage. It has a sleek and elegant packaging with docking keyboard and stand.

For more about Asus Transformer 3 Mini, see the following table below for some available specs:

Furthermore, the above specs are not enough to give a complete details about the Transformer 3 Mini. From here, I will be taking a look around for other news and updates to complete the above list of specs.

And in terms of weight, Transformer 3 Mini in a compacted case without a keyboard hit the scale of 530 grams while the iPad Mini 4 fall short to 300 grams. Aside from having a bigger screen and possible aspect ratio, if it is added with a docking keyboard, the total weight will hit the 790 grams. It is even thicker compared to iPad Mini 4 (with only 6.1-millimeter thickness). But the good thing about this smaller model, it is more handy compared to its big brothers.

On the other side, prices of the said 2-in-1 tablet of Asus will probably start at about $800 or up.
