Teclast X98 Pro vs Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 - Comparison of Intel Atom Cherry Trail Powered Tablets

Upon knowing Xiomi Mi Pad 2 (iPad Mini clone), I tried to look around for any Intel Atom Cherry Trail powered tablet to compare. In my surprise, I found out that Teclast X98 Pro is a dominant 9.7-inch model with the same line of processing chip. Although it is much bigger than the other China-made machine, both are running a quad-core processors.

The price of X98 Pro is slightly higher compared to Mi Pad 2 and it is equipped with Intel Atom Cherry Trail T4 series chip. However, both of these models are all available with either Microsoft Windows 10 and Android 5.1 (Lollipop). And due to almost similar specs and minimal difference, these two different tablets are also treated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC (flash) storage.

Recently, I spotted a big brother of Teclast X98 Pro, dual-boot capable and convertible TBook 10. It is also equipped with the same line of Intel's quad-core chip and pre-loaded operating systems.

In behalf of X98 Pro and Mi Pad 2, see the following list of specs for you to compare the two different ultra-portable machines from Chinese manufacturers:

Aside from having a more powerful camera, the 2GB DDR3 memory of Mi Pad 2 remains its shortcoming. Both of these models shares a similar resolution in a different screen sizes.

And my verdict, aside from having a good underlying capabilities and power, these models are excellent choice for cost-effective tablets in playing multimedia files (for different video formats) and opening lightweight files.
