Voyo V3 Mini PC with Intel Cherry Trail X7-Z8700 CPU and eMMC Storage

I recently spotted this compacted machine in a Chinese forum. An Intel Cherry Trail powered mini PC with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. Voyo V3 is another line of small computer that can offer a high-definition (HD) video output, support for USB 2.0 and 3.0, and multiple hardware interfaces. And it is also expected to work in any type of HDMI-enabled and any type of monitors.

It is treated with regular-size and micro USB ports. That includes a mini HDMI and standard 802.11 b/g/n wireless technology. According to reviews, it is ideal for video streaming due to its promising 4K resolution support. And it is also ideal for massive PC games (for lightweight application only), Web surfing, and as a typical office workhorse.

Xbox One S is Up Treated with 2TB of Storage and 4K Resolution

Before the appearances of a real Xbox One S, handful of its leaked photos started to appear on the Web. The massive gaming community started to talk about its possible specs and other related details but nobody knows the exact stuff for another exciting console. And now, according to reports, Microsoft is about to reveal the new version of their very own gaming machine in the upcoming E3 conference.

Furthermore, Xbox One S is a compacted machine that can give a maximum of 2TB of storage. A 500GB and 1TB versions are also available among the first wave of variants that will hit the market by August. The overall size of this model has been reduced to about 40-percent from the original and prominent version in stores.

Changes in Xbox One S includes a new 4K video playback support. That is to offer a much better resolution compared to the prominent version in stores. The overall package shows a sleek and smaller with a built-in 4K Blu-ray disc player. And it is also treated with USB port for Kinect motion controller.

In addition, other spec of One S line includes a newly enhanced Bluetooth technology to support a much wider range. And prices for 500GB model starts at about $300 and up.

Roundup: Motorola Moto Z, Homtom HT17, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, Meizu M3, BlackView R7, and More

For the past few days of blogging, I spotted ten lines of Android smartphones which are now on my list of 5-inch and 5.5-inch models. Motorola is not too late to introduce their very own Moto Z-series following to the appearances of Asus ZenFone 3 and Lenovo Phab 2. Both of their two different handsets are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of storage.

Let me start in Moto Z, the base model of the said new line of 5.5-inch handsets from Motorola. It is equipped with 13-megapixel of main camera which is the only distinctive spec if compared to Moto Z Force. These models are also treated with the same quad-core chip from Qualcomm and memory sizes.

Next to Motorola Moto Z-series, is another 5.5-inch Homtom HT17 which is equipped with MediaTek's MT6737 chip just like of other Chinese brands. That is followed by a 5-inch Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 which is treated with MediaTek's Helio X10 chip and Xiaomi Mi5 Pro with the same processing platform to Motorola Z-series.

Aside from those brands, the international version of Meizu M3 Note is joining my list of other dual-SIM enabled handsets along with the new BlackView R7 powered by MediaTek's Helio P10 chip. And next to this two different 5-inch handsets, the small brother of Cubot Note S, the Cubot Rainbow is also joining my newly added models.

And here comes the LeEco Le 2 as another line of elegant and good-looking 5.5-inch Android 6.0 smartphone along with OnePlus 3 with the same chip to Motorola Moto Z-series.

Furthermore, I started to cover solid-state drive (SSD) storage from Samsung, the SATA 3 750 Evo. My fist attempt to share something about the newest line of storage technology aside from news and updates related to different kinds of mobile phones. And that includes the elegant Rock Dr.V protective gear for Samsung Galaxy S7.

For recent updates related to the most awaited iPhone 7, Apple will be giving an API for developers of iOS 10 platform. A privilege given to anyone who would like to enhance the capability of Siri, the first-of-its-kind virtual assistant in Apple devices. And prior to that, the upcoming new line of iOS handsets are also expected to employ chips from Intel and Qualcomm.

In addition, aside from ultra-portable devices, Apple has a plan to sell renewable energy from their newly acquired power plants in Cupertino and Nevada.

Among of those new entries is the 10000mAh universal power bank from Pineng, the PN-963. From here, join me as I continue my quest for another wave of entries!

Pineng PN-963 10000mAh (10-Ampere) Universal Power Bank

Following the appearances of its 20000mAh (20-ampere) version, I recently spotted this 10000mAh (10-ampere) variant of Pineng's power bank. PN-963 has less capacity compared to PN-983 but both are equipped of Lithium-Polymer battery. However, this variant offers a sleek and elegant packaging treated with LCD digital display.

Pineng PN-963 has two regular-size USB ports for charging and micro USB (Type-C) port for recharging operations. Compared to Xiaomi's ZMI HB810 with the same 10000mAh capacity and with only one USB port for charging, this model can offer a much better charge indicator in several good-looking case.

Furthermore, just like of other battery banks from Vinsic, Xiaomi, and Romoss, Pineng (Malaysian manufacturer) offers a fast-charging operation. A universal device ideal for smartphones with 4000mAh or less battery capacity. This will also work in iPad, Galaxy Tab, and other handheld devices.

Despite of its 10000mAh capacity as a shortcoming from other brands, this travel buddy can offer three to four charging operations. It can support up to two simultaneous devices from its 5-volt 2.1-ampere and 5-volt 1-ampere ports. It has an input voltage of 5-volt 2-ampere and rated output of more than 31.5Wh.

In addition, as noted by its product page, this universal power bank is fully compatible with iPhone 6 line, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, HTC, Blackberry, and Sony Ericsson mobile phones. It is currently available in either black or white with shades of red and in carbon-fiber look cases.

OnePlus 3 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 6GB RAM, and 64GB of Storage

Reviews of Android smartphones with higher screen to body aspect ratio shows a lot of enthusiasms to fans and followers. As the revolution of 5.5-inch handset continue, new variants of elegant Chinese brands are stirring the global market. OnePlus 3 is another line of Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 powered phone to join those favorable models in reviews and with promising processing chips.

Furthermore, OnePlus 3 is another variant of my previously added OnePlus 2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. A good-looking model with the same chip to Motorola Moto Z, Xiaomi Mi5 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Edition. And the most interesting part of this model is no other than its 6GB of RAM while other models are playing with either 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB.

To know more about OnePlus 3, see the following table below:

CPU64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 at 2.15GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory6GB LPDDR
Storage64GB eMMC with no extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.5-inch with 73% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution1920 x 1080-pixel Full High-Definition (FHD) Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen

ColorAvailable in elegant black, grey, and gold
BatteryBuilt-in 3650mAh Lithium-Ion
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone

The base price of OnePlus 3 start at about $400 and up. It is expensive compared to other Chinese brands with the same quad-core processor and 64GB of storage. But according to reviews, the prices are reasonable for anyone who are looking for elegant and glossy handsets with soaring memory sizes and lightning port enabled models (just like in iPhone and iPad).

Compared to Samsung Galaxy S7, this model has something to offer other than a shortcoming in extended flash storage support.

iOS 10 is Giving Developers a Chance to Work with Siri's API

Apple recently introduced their newest platform which is about to join their most awaited line of iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, the iOS 10. Users can expect a major changes for the said platform as noted by reports from Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). They are giving developers their chance to work with their famous virtual assistant, the Application Protocol Interface (API) of Siri.

Aside from that API for developers, iOS 10 is expected to offer a lot of new features. That includes a new way of locking and unlocking devices, fully-enhanced 3D Touch App, strengthen support for CarPlay, new map, subscription for Apple Music, HomeKit Control Center for controlling household appliances, and VoIP that is capable of knowing the identity of callers.

But the most exciting part of the said major changes in iOS 10 is the upgraded virtual assistant. It is now capable to learn from the user's routine and also to work in iPhone SMS function. User can now ask Siri to pass SMS messages or even locate anyone through the handset built-in GPS. Aside from that, it is also treated with auto-reply function for sending short messages.

For me, the most exciting part of iOS 10 is their upcoming API for developers. They are about to change our way of thinking towards the iOS platform along with Siri's new functionality and possible twists from programmer's initiative.

In addition, iOS 10 update is fully compatible to the following devices aside from the upcoming models as noted by Apple's official website:

iPhoneiPadiPod Touch
iPhone 6S

iPhone 6
iPhone 6 Plus
iPhone SE
iPhone 5s
iPhone 5c
iPhone 5

iPad Pro 12.9-Inch

iPad Air
iPad (4th generation)
iPad (3rd generation)
iPad 2
iPad Mini 4
iPad Mini 3
iPad Mini 2

Before the iOS 10 update, leaked photos and related stories about the upcoming version of iPhone continue to stir the Web. Some fans and followers of the blockbuster handset are also expecting an inductive charging enabled version.

LeEco Le 2 with MediaTek Helio X20 CPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of Storage

The most exciting part of knowing a Chinese handset treated with powerful chip are their upcoming variants. You will be surprised by the next models as they continue to evolve for a much better performance just like of what we can get from LeEco Le 2. It is the first and one-of-its-kind to sport a deca-core MediaTek MT6797 (Helio X20) chip paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Furthermore, LeEco Le 2 (X620) is another 5.5-inch Android 6.0 handset with a lot of promising specs. That includes a 16-megapixel main camera, higher screen to body aspect ratio just like of BlackView R7, and elegant overall appearances.

And to know more about LeEco Le 2, see the following table below for other informative specs:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit MediaTek MT6797 at 2.3GHz (Deca-Core)
Memory3GB LPDDR3

ColorAvailable in metallic rose gold
BatteryBuilt-in 3000mAh Lithium-Ion

The body structure of LeEco Le 2 resembles the blockbuster iPhone 6S because of smooth and elegant curves as well on its screen ratio. But its exclusive fingerprint scanner (for locking and unlocking security feature) found at the back portion of this handset makes it unique among the other 5.5-inch Chinese smartphones.

In addition, prices of the base model (with 32GB storage) starts at about $180 and up. And for less than $200, it has a reasonable tag as one of those budget-friendly handset with Android 6.0 platform. And its other variants includes a LeEco Le Max 2 and LeEco Le 2 Pro with handful of differences in terms of memory and storage capacity.

Cubot Rainbow Android 6.0 Smartphone with MediaTek MT6580 CPU, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of Storage

While on my way looking for any less than $100 smartphone with Android 6.0 platform, I spotted this 5-inch handset along with other handsets with quad-core chips. Cubot Rainbow is the small brother of the 5.5-inch Cubot Note S. Both are treated with the same MediaTek MT6580 CPU and small differences in terms of RAM and storage capacity.

The said 5-inch Chinese phone is expected to hit the market with the newest version of Android with less than $100 prices. The base specs of Cubot Rainbow is equipped with 1GB of memory and 16GB of flash storage. For prospect buyers who are looking for low-cost and budget-friendly smartphone with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), this might be their right choice.

Furthermore, to know more about Cubot Rainbow, see the following table below:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit MediaTek MT6580 at 1.3GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory1GB LPDDR3
Storage16GB eMMC with up to 32GB of extended flash storage support

Body Dimension142 X 72 X 8.8-millimeter, 183-gram
ColorAvailable in glossy black, white, red, and gold
Battery2200mAh Lithium-Polymer
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone

In addition, Doogee X5 is another 5-inch handset with the same chip to Cubot Rainbow and Note S. However, the other brand is treated with 8GB of storage capacity and Android 5.1. But both are designed to support a maximum of 32GB of extended flash storage and can offer few of underlying specs.

And before I can forget, Cubot Rainbow is also a dual-SIM enabled handset with shortcomings in terms of memory and battery capacity.

BlackView R7 with MediaTek MT6755 Octa-Core CPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB of Storage

BlackView R7 is another Android handset to join my list of recently added Meizu M3 Note and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime with the same 5.5-inch screen. It is treated with 64-bit octa-core chip from MediaTek, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of flash storage. This Chinese brand brought out a sleek and thin model with elegant metallic case.

Furthermore, BlackView R7 has a higher screen to body aspect ratio due to its narrow structure. It has a smooth curvy edges suitable for excellent hand grip. And I will give an excellent verdict over its impressive screen.

The back portion of R7 is treated with fingerprint recognition part that can be used to unlock the entire phone. It has a unique style and one-of-a-kind privacy protection.

To know more about BlackView R7, see the following table for other specs:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 at 2GHz (Octa-Core)
Memory4GB LPDDR3
Storage32GB eMMC with up to 128GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.5-inch with 78% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution1920 x 1080-pixel Full High-Definition (FHD) Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera13-megapixel (main), 8-megapixel (front-facing), with flashlight and auto-focus tech
Graphic CardARM Mali-T860

ColorAvailable in Champagne Gold, Stardust Grey, and Space Silver
Battery3000mAh Lithium-Polymer
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone, Dual-SIM enabled device

It is the first handset I heard to be treated with more than 75 percent of screen to body aspect ratio with full high-definition (FHD) resolution. Just like of other high-end Chinese phones, it is also an NFC (near field communication) enabled device. Prices of BlackView R7 start at about $180 for base specs (for 32GB version) and up.

In addition, this model also resembles the famous and blockbuster iPhone 6S of Apple.

Meizu M3 Note International Version with MediaTek Helio P10 CPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of Storage

I recently spotted this version of Meizu M3 Note in Geek Buying for about $165 only. The 5.5-inch handset treated with MediaTek's Helio P10 chip, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB eMMC of storage. And it is the other brother of Meizu Charm Blue Note 3 with Helio X10 CPU.

At first, I am wondering about the said international edition of M3 Note due to its common specs to the original model. According to its product page, it will be treated with Google Play Store and other related services as well a multi-language support. And maybe, way back in mainland China, the said Google services are not available on this Android phone.

Furthermore, this version of Meizu M3 Note is equipped with octa-core MT6755 CPU at 1.8GHz. A dual-SIM enabled device with 3G and 4G connectivity support, Android 5.1 (Lollipop) platform, 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras, and ARM Mali-T860 graphic. Other specs includes a 128GB of extended flash storage support and Micro USB (Type-C) port.

In terms of battery, it is equipped with Lithium-Polymer 4100mAh that can last for about two to three days (as noted on M3 Note's product page).

Just like of other Chinese brands with the same screen size, this model is also treated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 (slightly older than what the buyer can get from Xiaomi's Mi5 Pro) and elegant metallic silver case (made of aluminum alloy). Accessories and third-party parts of Meizu M3 Pro are also available on its official product page.

As I can remember, the overall appearances of this model resembles to iPhone 6S as well to Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe.

Xiaomi Mi5 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of Storage

Among the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 powered smartphones, Xiaomi Mi5 Pro is the only model treated with 5.15-inch screen. It is smaller than Redmi Note 2 as well from 6.44-inch Mi Max line. The size is totally unique compared to other Android phones with the same MIUI (Mi User Interface) and features.

Mi5 Pro is also treated with three-dimensional (3D) ceramic body that gives a good looking and elegant overall design. A device which has been optimized to offer a scratch resistance and can stand for high temperate environment. And it is one of those model to sport the famous Gorilla Glass 4 technology for its back panel.

To know more about Xiaomi's Mi5 Pro, see the following table for its available specs:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 7.0
CPU64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 at 2.2GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory4GB LPDDR3
Storage128GB eMMC with no extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.15-inch with 73% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution1920 x 1080-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera16-megapixel (main), 8-megapixel (front-facing), with phase detection auto-focus tech
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 530
Supported PortsMicro USB (Type C), Nano SIM Card Slot, Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11a/ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3G, 4G, GPS
Body Dimension144.6 x 69.2 x 7.3-millimeter, 139-gram
ColorAvailable in glossy black, white, gold, and purple
BatteryBuilt-in 3000mAh Lithium-Polymer
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone, Dual-SIM enabled phone

Just like of Mi5 Pro variants, it is also equipped with Nano SIM card slot to be called a dual-SIM enabled model. Having a 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage give a distinctive difference for this handset. And the price start at about $600 and up. Low-cost models are treated with 3GB of RAM and 32GB up to 64GB of flash storage.

And this might be the toughest line of Xiaomi's phone in terms of memory capacity and storage. the company also sells tablet computers just like of 2-in-1 Mi Pad 2, power banks, and other smartphone accessories.

Rock Dr.V Smart Protective Phone Cover for Samsung Galaxy S7

One of the prominent mobile phone accessory manufacturers brought up a new line of protective gear exclusively designed for Samsung Galaxy S7. Rock Dr.V series includes this light and elegant-looking phone cover along with the same accessories which are also exclusive for iPhone and other China-made smartphones.

This light protective phone cover is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polycarbonate (PC) materials. That is to offer a long-lasting protection from wet and abrasion. Due to TPU's hard and smooth segments, the said protective case can give a strong and elastic covering with another level of resistance.

Furthermore, Rock Dr.V is also made of comfortable leather-like structure as another light and thin layer. It was tailored to fit in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge handset with opening for its micro USB (Type-C) port, built-in microphone, speaker, and standard 3.5-millimeter audio output. And that includes an exclusive openings in front-facing and main cameras.

It has an active and transparent front-cover which allow the user to answer calls without opening the case. And the side cover shows a rubberize plastic that can tightly fit to its protected handset. User can also expect a smart feature (for wake and sleep) of this case just like of other typical cover treated with magnetic field.

If this protective gear is ideal for standard Galaxy S7 Edge, it is not a necessary accessory for special or limited edition just like of Iron Man (for Galaxy S6) and Batman (Injustice Edition) inspired models. This can overlay the front and back theme of those variants.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime with MediaTek Helio X10 CPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB of Storage

I spotted Redmi Note 2 Prime in Ali Express along with other Chinese brands with 5.5-inch screens. It is a variant of Xiaomi's octa-core powered Redmi Note 2 and the big brother of 5-inch Redmi 3 Pro. And it is also equipped with MediaTek's Helio X10 chip, 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of eMMC storage.

This model has a common specs to the standard version. It is also treated with the same 64-bit octa-core chip and PowerVR G6200 graphic. Capable of giving a full high-definition (FHD) screen resolution with a fully-laminated screen. And it has an elegant-looking case that resembles the overall structure of iPhone 6S from Apple.

To know more about Redmi Note 2 Prime, see the following table for other specs:

Operating SystemMIUI 7.0 from Android 5.1
CPU64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 at 2.2GHz (Octa-Core)
Memory2GB LPDDR3
Storage16GB or 32GB eMMC with up to 32GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.5-inch with 70% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution1920 x 1080-pixel FHD Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera13-megapixel (main), 5-megapixel (front-facing), with auto-focus tech
Graphic CardPowerVR G6200
Supported PortsMicro USB (Type C), Micro-SIM Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G, GPS
Body Dimension152 x 76 x 8.25-millimeter, 160-gram
ColorAvailable in metallic grey and several types of color (yellow, pink, skyblue, and white)
BatteryRemovable 3060mAh Lithium-Ion
OthersDual-SIM enabled, Built-in stereo speakers and microphone

Redmi Note 2 Prime is a dual-SIM enabled handset just like of Elephone M2 and Meizu M3 Note as well to other Chinese brands with the same features. Prices starts at about $160 and up (according to buyer's selected configuration). Its 32GB variant is slightly expensive compared to the base 32GB model.

And I consider this another Android phone as one of those budget-friendly (low-cost) devices from Chinese manufacturer. It is ideal for video playback due to its FHD screen and as option for a 4G LTE-enabled smartphone.

Motorola Moto Z Force: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB of Storage

Few days ago, I spotted the 5.5-inch flag bearer of Motorola, the standard model of Moto Z series. And now, its Moto Z Force variant captured my attention due to their very small indifference. As a prospect buyer, you cannot even think of any unique features from appearances and underlying specs. Maybe, a little changes in product packaging.

Motorola Moto Z Force is also equipped with quad-core chip from Qualcomm, 4GB of RAM, and with either 32GB or 64GB of storage. While their competing brands continue to embrace the power of octa-core chip, the Moto Z variants are all treated with a slightly old Kryo processing platform. But it is nod bad for about $300 Android phone, right?

For other specs of Moto Z Force, see the following table below:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 at 2.2GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory4GB LPDDR3 (Mobile DDR)
StorageAvailable in 32GB or 64 eMMC with up to 256GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.5-inch with about 70% screen to body aspect ratio (for all models)
Display/Resolution2560 x 1440-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera21-megapixel (main), 5-megapixel (front-facing), with laser auto-focus tech
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 530
Supported PortsMicro USB (Type C), Micro SD Card Slot, Nano-SIM card slot, Standard 3.5mm Audio Output
Connectivity802.11a/ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G, A-GPS
Body Dimension153.3 x 75.3 x 5.2-millimeter, 136-gram
ColorGlossy combination of black, grey, gold, and white
BatteryBuilt-in 2600mAh Lithium-Ion
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone, No words for dual-SIM support

The only major difference of Motorola Moto Z Force from the base model is the notable 21-megapixel camera treated with the same laser, auto-focus, and phase detection technology. Recent reports prior to its appearances told us to expect a rugged line of Moto handsets. But because of its glossy and elegant-looking cases, it can tell us that the upcoming 5.5-inch handset of Motorola is one of those descent lines to bump with Asus ZenFone 3, Lenovo Phab 2, and ZTE Nubia Z11 Max.

In addition, Moto Z Force is not a dual-SIM enabled smartphone with Android 6.0 and the same line of quad-core CPU.

The New iPhone 7 Will Be Equipped with Intel and Qualcomm Chips

Recently, leaked photos of the upcoming iPhone 7 started to stir the Web from unknown sources. Expectations from fans and followers of Apple's most awaited handset for inductive charging enable model brought up an exciting feature to watch. And now, according to Bloomberg, the said new version will be equipped with Intel and Qualcomm chips at the same time.

According to reports, iPhone 7 will be treated with Intel and Qualcomm DNAs just like of several 2-in-1 tablets from China. Maybe, they are thinking of these two different names to offer a more powerful line. Intel will be responsible for its GSM communication chip and Qualcomm for its Code-Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology.

But all of these stories are not new from Apple. Their initiative to embrace new possibilities brought them on the top of every competition. Before, I heard that Samsung (their former closest competitor) previously joined the U.S.-based company to manufacture parts in some of their portable products.

Probably, Apple is about to bring a new twist in telecommunication platform and efficient speed. Or maybe, they are about to embrace the CDMA tech to increase bandwidth capacity as well to take advantage of its other capabilities. And because of this, Apple may change the game in compatibility by moving ahead over the other smartphone manufacturer.

But before of anything else, while talking about those unconfirmed rumors related to iPhone 7, Apple is also planning to sell electricity generated from their newly owned solar power plants in Cupertino and Nevada as well from their existing facilities.

And probably, aside from selling iOS powered smartphones and tablets, they will be sharing the bounty of clean, free, and renewable energy to their neighboring community.

Homtom HT17 Android 6.0 Smartphone with MediaTek MT6737 CPU, 1GB RAM, and 64GB of Storage

I recently spotted this new line of Android 6.0 smartphone hovering in other Chinese brands, the Homtom HT17. It is added to my list of 5.5-inch handsets along with Motorola Moto Z-series, Cubot Note S, and OnePlus 2. Despite of its shortcomings, this might be the first low-cost model which is treated with Marshmallow platform.

Furthermore, Homtom HT17 is equipped with 1GB of RAM and maybe, a maximum of 8GB eMMC storage. To think of Android 6.0, for me, it is a good choice to experience the newest version of this operating system in a budget-friendly phone. The price of this model starts at about $70 and up. Maybe, this will hit the global market under a different name just like of other China-made ultra-portable devices.

And to know more about Homtom HT17, see the following table for its available specs:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit MediaTek MT6737 at 1.1GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory1GB LPDDR3
Storage8GB eMMC with up to 64GB of extended flash storage support

Battery3000mAh Lithium-Ion
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone

This handset is also made to support a dual-SIM (through its Micro-SIM card slots) technology just like of Meizu Charm Blue Note 3 and Xiaomi Mi Max as well those other brands with the same common features. And its quad-core chip is maybe enough to support the newest mobile platform that will compete to iOS 9.

In addition, Homtom HT17 is less powerful due to some shortcomings. But for those who are looking for a low-cost portable handset as their first or probably, their next travel buddy, it is the right choice for playing music, video playback, and Web browsing. And maybe, there will be an upcoming 32GB or 64GB (in terms of storage) versions of this 5.5-inch smartphone in the near future.

Apple is Planning to Sell Electricity from Cupertino and Nevada Power Plants

Next to iPhone, iPad, and MacBook, Apple also plan to sell renewable electricity. According to reports, they started a new name for energy business and started to buy facilities in California and Nevada. It is another interesting story to wait for the upcoming years while waiting for a new wave of their blockbuster devices to hit the market.

Furthermore, Apple is following the footsteps of Microsoft and Facebook. These two tech giants are prominent to embrace renewable energy sources but we never heard any plan to sell their resources. Maybe, Apple has a plan to compete with Tesla in a different ways, not to sell cars but reliable power sources.

Before, Wired and Biomass Magazine reported the plan of Microsoft to put up a stationary fuel cell plant to power their data center. Prior to that, the company had their own hydro-electric station to draw a huge percentage of their facilities and office buildings power needs. And Google got their own way to embrace renewable energy sources through their Google Green projects.

Going back to Apple, the company is about to make a few twist in technology industry. Aside from drawing power for their own facilities, they are even planning to extend the reach of their resources to the profitable public.

Maybe later, we will be surprise by Samsung to have a self powering handsets through an ark reactor for having an Iron Man inspired Galaxy S6. And this will not end the line of power banks and car chargers in the near future.

Motorola Moto Z with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad-Core CPU, 4GB RAM, and 32GB of Storage

Following the appearances of Lenovo's new line of Phab smartphones, Motorola surprisingly brought out their very own Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 powered phones, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. These new 5.5-inch handsets will be joining the standard version of Sony Xperia X, Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Edition, and the 5.7-inch Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe for the same 64-bit chip.

Moto Z is the standard and flag bearer of Motorola. According to reports, there will be two variants for this base handset, it is expected to come in either 32GB or 64GB model (in terms of storage capacity). There might be a few changes in CPU as well to memory sizes base on its availability in the global market.

Furthermore, aside from the above mentioned brands with the same line of quad-core chip, Moto Z will also compete to ZTE Axon 7 and other elegant Chinese brands. And this will be the most exciting part of the upcoming wide-range of competition.

To know more about the other specs of Moto Z, see the following table below:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 at 2.2GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory4GB LPDDR3
Storage32GB or 64 eMMC with up to 256GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.5-inch with about 70% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution2560 x 1440-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera13-megapixel (main), 5-megapixel (front-facing), with laser auto-focus tech
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 530
Supported PortsReversible Micro USB (Type C), Micro SD Card Slot Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11a/ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G, A-GPS
Body Dimension153.3 x 75.3 x 5.2-millimeter, 136-gram
ColorAvailable in glossy combination of black, grey, gold, and white
BatteryBuilt-in 2600mAh Lithium-Ion
OthersBuilt-in stereo speakers and microphone, Not a dual-SIM enabled smartphone

For now, there is no words for any available prices of this model. But because of its underlying specs, as I compare Moto Z with other brands of the same CPU, price tags will probably start at about $280 and up. That will vary according to buyer's selected configuration in memory size and storage capacity.

And it is also expected to bump with another 5.5-inch Asus ZenFone 3 (standard model) as well to Umi Touch and OnePlus 2 brands. I never heard of anything unique about the Moto Z except for its rugged version and elegant case from reviews. Its 2600mAh built-in battery is lower compared to other Android smartphones with more than 3000mAh or 4000mAh capacity.

As a prospect buyer, you may choose to own a power bank for additional cost along with Moto Z to have a long-lasting battery performance.

Samsung 750 Evo SATA 3 Solid-State Drive (SSD) with 120GB and 250GB Capacity

This is my first attempt to cover a 2.5-inch solid-state drive (SSD) to continue my quest in technology blogging. Last week, I tried to compare an LPDDR memory of mobile devices against the typical RAM of portable, desktop, and tower PCs. And now, I want to start following these high-performing drives in Chinese websites and other reliable sources.

Let me start with Samsung 750 Evo, a 2.5-inch SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) 3 SSD drive with 120GB and 250GB variants. This internal model is also compatible with the former SATA 2 and SATA 1 ports. And it is a plug-n-play device loaded with its own driver for any supported machines.

Furthermore, Samsung 750 Evo can offer a read and write speed of a whooping 540MB/s and 520MB/s respectively unlike with a typical 2.5-inch hard disk drive (HDD) that can only reach a maximum of 76MB/s and 54MB/s only. It can perform five-times the speed of any conventional mechanical drives.

For now, this model is currently available for about $50 (for 120GB model) up to $80 (for 250GB model). And probably, a portable version of 750 Evo is also available for a much higher price tags.

In addition, this model is also ideal for gaming rigs for massive PC video games due to its responsive performance.

Roundup: Apple iPhone 7, ZTE Nubia, OnePlus 2, Xiaomi Mi Max, Lenovo Phab 2 Phones, and More

This wrap up will a cover a handful of entries for the past few days of writing. Let me start with the most awaited Apple iPhone 7. While the new version of iOS started to knock for the latest update, leaked photos of the blockbuster handset continue to stir the Web. Some fans and followers are even thinking of an inductive charging enabled version. However, nobody from Apple confirmed those exciting stories. And I also tried to cover a story on how to run a typical Android app in iOS environment through a protective gear.

Those stories related to Apple's devices is followed by ZTE Nubia Z11 Max. Another line of dual-SIM enabled handset with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core CPU. It is also equipped with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of flash storage. And that is joined by Meizu Charm Blue Note 3 handset with MediaTek's Helio X10 chip.

While highlighting those other Chinese smartphones, the Japanese flagship started to invade the neighboring markets. Sony Xperia X-Series along with Z5 is now available in Sony's official store in Taiwan and it is also expected to arrive in Hong Kong few weeks from now.

I have a new entry for 2-in-1 and convertible tablets, the Intel Skylake 6Y30 powered Teclast X3 Pro. A new 11.6-inch handheld machine treated with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of solid-state drive (SSD) storage. And I consider this as one of those powerful tablets coming from Chinese brands.

Following the appearances of Ulephone P8000 Android phone, a 5-inch Ulephone P6000 is also available for less than $150. The smallest and low-cost model packed with MediaTek's MT6763 octa-core chip. It is joined by OnePlus 2, another elegant Chinese handset with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage. And here comes the Xiaomi Mi Max handset with another elegant-looking structure powered by another Qualcomm 64-bit processor.

Aside from those brands, Cubot Note S is not too late to join the 5.5-inch Android smartphones in the global market. Its another low-cost handset treated with MediaTek's MT6580 quad-core chip, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

And I spotted the smaller variant of Jumper EZBook 2 equipped with Intel Atom X5-Z8300 chip, the Jumper EZPad 5S. An 11.6-inch convertible machine treated with the same line of CPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of SSD storage.

Next to Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series in Best Buy, I also spotted the ASRock DeskMini 110 compacted PC from a series of review. And the first of its kind to sport the new Mini-STX chipset and other promising specs.

To think of car chargers for mobile devices, Tronsmart Quick Charger 3.0 has been added to the list of important travel buddies aside from Pineng PN-983, Vinsic Iron P6, Xiaomi's ZMI HB810, and Romoss Sense 6 Plus universal power banks.

Lenovo is not too late to introduce their very own new line of Phab smartphones packed with Google Tango app. And maybe, as closest competitor of Asus ZenFone 3, that list of 6.4-inch dual-SIM enabled handsets are the Phab 2 (standard model), Phab 2 Plus, and the Phab 2 Pro.

Join me as I continue my quest for another wave of stories about the upcoming smartphones and gadgets from the wild.

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Octa-Core CPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of Storage

Phab 2 Pro is the last among the three new line of Lenovo's smartphones and the first of their kind to be treated with Google Tango. From MediaTek's 64-bit processors of Phab 2 (base model) and Phab 2 Plus, this model is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core chip just like of Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra as well to ZTE Nubia Z11 Max.

Furthermore, Phab 2 Pro has a common specs to Phab 2 Plus except for its 16-megapixel main camera which has been derived from the base model. It is also equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC flash storage. Despite of these indifference, prices of this variant will probably start at about $300 and up. A slightly low-cost and budget-friendly 32GB model (in terms of storage) is maybe available for both octa-core powered models.

To know more about the underlying specs of Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, see the following specs below:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 at 1.8GHz (Octa-Core)
Memory4GB LPDDR3
Storage64GB eMMC with up to 256GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.3-inch with 70% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution2560 x 1440-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera16-megapixel (main), 8-megapixel (front-facing), with geo-tagging and auto-focus support
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 510
Supported PortsMicro USB 2.0 (Type C), Standard 3.5mm Audio Out

ColorAlso available in metallic grey and champagne gold just like of the standard and Phab 2 Plus models
BatteryBuilt-in 4050mAh Lithium-Polymer
OthersDual-SIM (Micro-SIM) enabled, built-in stereo speakers and microphone

And while writing this last entry for the new Lenovo's Phab line of Android 6.0 phones, I was thinking of Sony Xperia X series which are now available in Taiwan and expected to arrive in Hong Kong market few days from now. Hopefully, Lenovo is not too late to join the competition by introducing their very own wider lines of Android smartphones.

On the other side, Asus brought out a new line of ZenFone with a totally different sizes and underlying specs. Obviously, for Lenovo, a few twist in quad-core to octa-core chips is enough to maintain the appearances of their three dual-SIM enabled handsets and as the flagship of Google Tango app.

Lenovo Phab 2 Plus with MediaTek MT8783 Octa-Core CPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of Storage

Phab 2 Plus is another variant of Lenovo's Android 6.0 smartphones which are expected to hit the global market by this year. Following the appearances of the base model, this MediaTek MT8783 octa-core powered handset is also treated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (twice the storage size of my recently added base Phab 2 line).

From MediaTek's MT8735 (of base model), Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is equipped with a whooping 64-bit octa-core chip and a soaring storage size. However, aside from memory and storage sizes, both of the said models are also treated with the same specs just like in screen supported resolution, camera auto-focus and geo-tagging tech, and Adreno 510 GPU.

For more about the new Phab 2 Plus dual-SIM enabled smartphone, see the following specs below:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit MediaTek MT8783 at 1.3GHz (Octa-Core)
Memory4GB LPDDR3
Storage64GB eMMC with up to 256GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.3-inch with 70% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution2560 x 1440-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera13-megapixel (main), 8-megapixel (front-facing), with geo-tagging and auto-focus
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 510 ARM Mali-T720 MP3
Supported PortsMicro USB 2.0 (Type C), Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11a/ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G, A-GPS, FM Radio
Body Dimension179.8 x 88.6 x 10.7-millimeter, 259-gram
ColorAlso available in metallic grey and champagne gold just like of the standard model
BatteryBuilt-in 4050mAh Lithium-Polymer
OthersDual-SIM (Micro-SIM) enabled, built-in stereo speakers and microphone

Unlike with Asus new line of ZenFone, all variants of Phab 2 also share a common screen sizes, graphic card, connectivity support, and body dimension. Going back to Asus, their variants are divided into 5.5-inch base model, the ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) along with 5.7-inch ZenFone 3 Deluxe and the 6.8-inch ZenFone 3 Ultra.

In addition, prices of Lenovo Phab 2 Plus are expected to start at about $300 and up. It is expected to be more expensive compared to the low memory size and storage capacity model. And this variant is also added with Google's Tango app just like of other Phab 2 phones.

Lenovo Phab 2 Treated with MediaTek MT8735 Quad-Core CPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of Storage

Lenovo introduces a new line of 6.4-inch Phab 2 handset treated with MediaTek's MT8735 quad-core chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. This model can offer a handful of original features which includes the Dolby Atmos and augmented reality (AR) effect. And the said model is also joined by Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2 Pro variants.

Let me talk about the standard Phab 2. According to reports, prices of this base model will start at about $300 $200 only and it is the cheapest among the other above mentioned variants. It has a common screen, memory, and storage sizes to Xiaomi Mi Max with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core chip. And maybe, more powerful and bigger than Asus ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) which is treated with dual-core Snapdragon chip.

To know more about the base specs of Phab 2, see the following table below:

Operating SystemAndroid 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit MediaTek MT8735 at 1.3GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory3GB LPDDR3
Storage32GB eMMC with up to 256GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size6.4-inch with 70% screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution2560 x 1440-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera16-megapixel (main), 8-megapixel (front-facing), with geo-tagging and auto-focus
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 510 ARM Mali-T720 MP2
Supported PortsMicro USB 2.0 (Type C), Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11a/ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 4G, A-GPS, FM Radio
Body Dimension179.8 x 88.6 x 10.7-millimeter, 259-gram
ColorAvailable in metallic grey and champagne gold
BatteryBuilt-in 4050mAh Lithium-Polymer
OthersDual-SIM (Micro-SIM) enabled, built-in stereo speakers and microphone

The above full specifications of this base model shows a few shortcomings compared to Lenovo Phab 2 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 and Phab 2 Plus which is equipped with 64-bit MediaTek MT8783. Both of these other models are also equipped with a much bigger memory sizes that start in 4GB paired with 64GB eMMC storage.

Furthermore, Phab 2 can offer a reasonable performance from its long-lasting battery due to its power-efficient chip. Its 16-megapixel main and 8-megapixel front-facing cameras are standard specs for all models. And guess what, it is the first of its kind to sport the famous Google Tango app.

Tronsmart Quick Charger 3.0 (CC1T) with 12-Volt up to 24-Volt DC 4.2-Ampere Input

Since then, I am obsessed with free and renewable energy resources. For the past two years, I have been working with solar panels, solar charge controllers, battery banks, power inverters, and different kinds of adapter. And even on how to extend the battery life of my car through the use of a whooping 2-farad capacitor.

Cars with 90-ampere alternator can fill a 12-volt and 100-ampere battery in just a matter of twenty to thirty minutes of charging. However, if the idler continue to kick for extra power, the car built-in charge controller will just stop accepting more inputs to keep your battery safe from overcharging. But the good thing about it, you can store that excess power to any smart power banks with about 20000mAh just like of Pineng PN-983, Romoss 6 Sense Plus, or in Vinsic Iron P6. And user can also choose to direct their mobile devices on its regular-size USB port (for charging only).

Tronsmart Quick Charger 3.0 (model CC1T) is just one of those car chargers that support a maximum of 120-watt of input and this will also work in any lighter ports with 12-volt up to 24-volt DC 4.2-ampere output. A fast-charging device that can offer 5-volt up to 12-volt of maximum output. And it is also compatible to most of available compacted sedans, trucks, and SUVs as well to any 4-wheel vehicles with lighter ports.

Furthermore, the elegant-looking Tronsmart Quick Charger 3.0 can guarantee the safety of users because it is also equipped with over-charging, over-current, and even a short-circuit protection just like of a typical solar charge controller. That is to avoid frying the batteries of supported mobile phones, tablets, or any other portable devices.

In addition, prices of Quick Charger 3.0 starts at about $12 and up. And before I can forget, it is also equipped with charge status indicator, a small LED lamp (located on the upper side of its USB port) that will turn from red to green (for charging to full-charge battery respective modes). A 36-watt variant with dual-USB (for simultaneous charging) and Type C output is also available in different prices.

And this portable charger will also work with Apple's iPhone or iPad, smartphones from LG, Xiaomi, several unknown Chinese devices, HTC, and as well to other supported devices with either regular-size or Type C USB power ports. And for me, it is one of the most important travel buddy we need for the unused energy that can be extracted from our cars.

Cubot Note S: MediaTek MT6580 Quad-Core CPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of Storage

While taking a look around in Ali Express for any 20000mAh power bank, I spotted this Cubot Note S with MediaTek's quad-core chip. It is another line of 5.5-inch Chinese handset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage. And the good thing about it, it is the cheapest Android smartphone with elegant metallic case and iPhone 6S like appearances.

Compared to Meizu Charm Blue Note 3, Elephone M2, and Ulefone Vienna, Cubot Note S offers a less than 32GB of eMMC storage. However, it is the cheapest Chinese brand among the other 5.5-inch handset. However, it is the only model with quad-core chips for a reasonable less than $100 price tag.

For other available speaks of Cubot Note S, see the following table below:

Operating SystemAndroid 5.1 (Lollipop)
CPUMediaTek MT6580 at 1.3GHz (Quad-Core)
Memory2GB LPDDR3
Storage16GB eMMC with up to 32GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size5.5-inch with unknown screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution1280 x 720-pixel Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera8-megapixel (main), 5-megapixel (front-facing)
Graphic CardARM Mali-400
Supported PortsMicro USB (Type C), Micro SIM, Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3G, 4G, GPS
Body Dimension152 x 8.9 x 77-millimeter
ColorAvailable in glossy white, black, and gold
BatteryBuilt-in 4150mAh Lithium-Po
OthersDual-SIM, Built-in stereo speakers and microphone

Furthermore, Cubot Note S has the same quad-core chip with the smaller and less powerful 5-inch Doogee X5 which is equipped with only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. And prices for this model starts at about $80 and up. Other variants with 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage are also available.

And before I can forget, Note S is another dual-SIM enabled handset with less than $100 price. For now, I cannot compare this model with other 5-inch or much bigger handsets due to its underlying specs.

Xiaomi Mi Max: Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-Core CPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of Storage

Xiaomi Mi Max is another Chinese brand and elegant line of Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 powered handset next to Sony Xperia X (standard model). And it is the big brother of Xiaomi's Redmi 3 Pro and Redmi Note 2. However, it is the only variant to sport a hexa-core chip other than Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 and Helio X10 from the respective smaller models.

Despite of having a less powerful chip, Mi Max has a 6.4-inch screen for a potential full high-definition (FHD) 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution. It is also equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC flash storage just like of 5-inch Redmi 3 Pro. But both of these Xiaomi's smartphones with different screen sizes are treated with 64-bit Snapdragon chips.

To know more about Mi Max, see the following table below for other available specs:

Operating SystemMIUI V8 from Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
CPU64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 at 1.8GHz (Hexa-Core)
Memory3GB LPDDR3
Storage32GB eMMC with up to 256GB of extended flash storage support
Screen Size6.44-inch with unknown screen to body aspect ratio
Display/Resolution1920 x 1080-pixel Full High-Definition (FHD) Capacitive IPS Touch-Screen
Camera16-megapixel (main), 5-megapixel (front-facing)
Graphic CardQualcomm Adreno 510
Supported PortsLightning, Micro USB (Type C), Micro SIM, Standard 3.5mm Audio Out
Connectivity802.11ac/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3G, 4G, GPS
Body Dimension173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5-millimeter, 203-gram
ColorAvailable in metallic gold and glossy whit
BatteryBuilt-in 4850mAh Lithium-Po
OthersDual-SIM, Built-in stereo speakers and microphone

Compare to other Chinese handsets with 5-inch to 5.5-inch screens, Xiaomi's Mi Max is slightly expensive. Price tags of this dual-SIM enabled smartphone starts at about $260 and up. Probably, there is a 16GB (for storage size) variant that will start at about $200 or less. And a 64GB version is also available for about $360.

In addition, Mi Max shows the resemblance of sleek and thin 5.7-inch ZenFone 3 Deluxe from Asus.

Its underlying Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 is enough to cater the requirements of Android 6.0 platform. And the above mentioned tag is a reasonable price for handset with 32GB of flash storage.

ASRock Compacted DeskMini 110 PC with Mini-STX Chipset and Intel Core i5-6500 CPU

I just spotted this compacted ASRock DeskMini 110 (with Mini-STX board) machine while reading reviews of Skylake x86 chips. The first of a kind compacted PC to sport the newest line of CPU from Intel Core i-Series. The most recent review from Anand Tech introduces a good performing machine due to its underlying specs. Aside from a whooping 3.2GHz speed, its Samsung's solid-state drive (SSD) can give a strong advantage over its other competing brands.

ASRock is not new to offer this line of compacted computers. Their very own model with mini-ITX (a slightly bigger variant of mini-STX) board brought up a lot of promising performance that a typical or tower computer can bring. And that is one of their proven model that become popular to the global market.

Furthermore, other specs of ASRock DeskMini 110 includes support of up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, Samsung SSD 950 Pro storage (with 256GB up to 512GB of sizes), and Intel HD Graphics 530. And it is also equipped with USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Micro USB 3.1 (Type C), and Intel's Gigabit Ethernet technology.

In addition, the said DeskMini 110 is also treated with 64-bit Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (Professesional) edition, HDMI port, standard 3.5mm audio output, and sophisticated yet effective cooling system (specialize fan). And prices for this model starts at about $740 and up.

It is quite expensive but because of its underlying specs and size, this machine has something to offer than. And this small but promising machine is also ideal for graphics application, video streaming, and even as a gaming rig for massive PC video games to compete with portable HP Omen and Asus new line of ZenBook.

Sony Xperia X-Series and Z5 is Now Available in Taiwan

Prior to availability of Sony's Xperia X series in Hong Kong by the third quarter of this year, the Japanese brand will start to invade the Taiwanese stores. According to report, the first wave of sales will start by next week at Sony's official stores. Prices of all available variants starts at about $307 up to $711 and these are expected to arrive in Hong Kong with the same specs.

Price of their top of the line Xperia X Performance will start at NT $22,900 ($711 in U.S.). It is equipped with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 at 2GHz (octa-core) CPU and Adreno 430 graphic chip. This 5-inch handset is also treated with 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB solid-state drive (SSD) storage.

That is followed by the standard 5-inch Xperia X which is equipped with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 at 1.8GHz (hexa-core) chip and Adreno 510 GPU. Prices of this model starts at about NT $16,900 ($527 in U.S.). And the cheapest Xperia XA with 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 at 2GH (octa-core) chip and ARM Mali-T860 will start NT $9,900 ($307 in U.S.) only.

In addition, the official store of Sony in Taiwan is also giving a promotional NT $1,999 ($62) slashes in any price for buyers with gold gift coupon. And for every NT $1,990 ($61) worth of purchase, they are also giving a free MDR-NC720 headphone with noise cancelling function just like of Bose QuietComformt QC 35 and i.Tech Dynamic ProStereo L-Series.

And before I can forget, sales for Xperia Z5 is also available along with the above mentioned Android 6.0 smartphones.
