Cherry Mobile Ultra: 5-Inch 4G LTE-Enabled Android 4.3 Smartphone

Following the appearances of Omega Icon last week, Cherry Mobile has an upcoming new line of smartphones starting this month. That includes a 4G LTE-enabled models, the Cherry Mobile Ultra to be followed by Superion Scope in July 2014. According to reports, the said 5-inch handset is expected to hit local market in the Philippines for more than $200.00 or less than Php9,000.00.

Cherry Mobile Ultra is not a dual-SIM handset and it is equipped with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. It has a Micro-SD card slot which supports a maximum of 32GB of extra storage aside from 8GB of built-in internal flash drive.

Furthermore, Cherry Mobile Ultra is a 5-inch smartphone with Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) operating system. Other specs includes a 13-megapixel (main) and 5-megapixel (front) cameras, 1GB of RAM, full high-definition (HD) IPS display (with 720 x 1280-pixel resolution), and 2000mAh battery.

In addition, the main camera of Cherry Mobile Ultra is also treated with LED flash technology just like of other local brands. Compared to Samsung and Huawei smartphones, this might be added to the line of a budget-friendly handset to work with either Smart or Globe Telecom 4G LTE bands.

And the said 5-inch handset is also expected to compete with other 4G LTE-enabled models such as the Apple iPhone 5c and 5s blockbuster phones as well to the locally-produced MyPhone.
