The people behind the development of Mozilla Firefox web browser is now changing their track. Since then, the organization continue to surprise us through their initiatives in producing a handful of freeware. And now, aside from those productivity tools which are ideal for students and working professionals, they are moving ahead of other software developers by introducing their very own Firefox OS for portable devices.

And I am talking about their very own Firefox OS! A new platform which is typically designed to work in smartphones and tablet computers. Compared to Android and iOS, I cannot totally identify the difference in terms of functionality and as a new environment for games and other supported apps.

Furthermore, the said operating system of Firefox offers a common platform for programs to run just like in Android as well in iOS. However, it is totally different from what we can get in Windows 8.1 or earlier versions of the blockbuster OS of Microsoft. In fact, we cannot totally compare the technology giant to those folks working in Firefox, right?

But before of anything else, Firefox OS is now available in few-to-mentioned smartphones and tablets. And to name those device, let me start with VIA Vixen's 7-inch tablet. A China-made portable machine treated with ARM Cortex-A9 (dual-core) CPU at 1.2GHz. It is also equipped with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in flash storage, and Mali 400 GPU.
