Asus Dual-SIM Fonepad 7 Android Phablet Debuted in Hong Kong

Following the appearances of the upcoming Asus PadFone X technical specification in AT&T, the company officially announced the availability of their very own dual-SIM Fonepad 7 in Hong Kong. According to reports, it is now available for about HK $2,200.00 (8GB variant). However, the said phablet has a lower storage capacity compared to other 7-inch brands in Chinese stores.

Asus Fonepad 7 is powered by Intel Atom Z2520 CPU paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. In terms of operating system, it is equipped with Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) instead of KitKat platform which is now available in some newly announced 5-inch smartphone but not in 7-inch or 10-inch tablets.

Other specs of Asus Fonepad 7 includes a 5-megapixel main and 2-megapixel front cameras. It is powered by 3910mAh battery which can last for up to 6 to 10 hours in a single charge. Buyer can only choose from either gray or white variants. And the said dual-SIM phablet sports a 7-inch 1280 x 800-pixel IPS display and 3G aside from a typical Wi-Fi connectivity.

For those who are asking for a more advance network connectivity of Asus Fonepad 7, there is no words for 4G support yet nor Bluetooth 4.0.

Going back in January, Asus introduces PadFone Notes 6 Android 4.2 tablet with Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor and PadFone E (smartphone plus a docking station for tablet mode) in Taiwan. And probably, the company is also planning to revealed a new line of hybrid devices aside from Fonepad 7 and its variants.
