Roundup: Asus Eee Box, MediaPad X1, Fujitsu Lifebook, Octa-Core CPU, and OPPO Find 7 Phone

As television boxes continue to grow in number, the market has been rattled by a handful of Chinese brands packed with Android platform. These modules are powerful enough to extend our reach beyond a typical TV to a more sophisticated but entertaining piece of device. Asus brought out their very own Eee Box EB1037 equipped with Intel Celeron J1900 CPU at 2GHz speed paired with 2GB of RAM. However, I cannot compare this machine to any flash drive like TV box but it has a promising size for living rooms.

To stay on the game, Huawei introduces MediaPad X1 7-inch tablet. A new line of Android portable device with ARM Cortex-A9 chip at 1.6GHz. It has a shining quad-core technology and Mali 450 graphics. Just like of its reported predecessors in stores, the said tablet is also packed with 2GB of memory, 8GB to 16GB of built-in storage, and a fully-customized Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system.

In the other side, Fujitsu revealed their very own LifeBook TH90/P. A 13.3-inch convertible machine with Intel Core i5-4200 (Haswell) CPU. The company introduces the said hybrid PC in Japan few weeks ago and it is expected to hit the market by the first quarter of this year. It has a 500GB HDD storage, supports a maximum of 8GB RAM, and stylus pen.

And in terms of processing needs for smartphones and tablets, MediaTek brought out a new line of eight-core processor, the ARM Cortex-A17 line or MT6595. The first of its kind as an octa-core chip intended for the fast growing number of portable devices with powerful chips. We will be surprised soon by some compacted machines with a power-efficient CPU because of MT6595 breakthrough.

Furthermore, OPPO officially announced the upcoming Find 7 smartphone in China. A new line of Android-powered device with a promising performance and quality as noted in reports. The said handset is up in two different version packed with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. And the company is about to introduce this new Android phone in Beijing by the month of March.
