Huawei Revealed B199 Android Phone in China with Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU

Huawei revealed the new successor of A199 in China, a Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered smartphone instead of K3VC microchip. The 5.5-inch B199 handset with almost the same specs to its predecessors. And guess what, it has a 4000mAh Lithium-Ion battery which is reportedly capable of charging other devices with lower capacity.

The Huawei B199 is packed with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage (with MicroSD card slot for extra space), quad-core CPU, and a dual-SIM support. However, it is only designed to work in 3G networks despite of availability of 4G network in China. And according to report, the handset is also expected to arrive in the global market by the first quarter of this year.

Compared to A199, the new line of Huawei's 5.5-inch smartphone has a higher storage capacity with the same physical memory size but runs an Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. Other specs includes an 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3-megapixel front-facing cameras with 720-pixel IPS display.

Although it is a low-end device compared to Samsung and Motorola 5-inch or less handsets, the dual-SIM device is up for more than $300.00 outside of Chinese market.
