How to Report your Stolen Smartphone in United States?

Most of us are not aware or ignorant of reporting our stolen smartphone nowadays. The advancement of technology continue to tease us but far from what we know, the government is also working to help us. Protecting our privacy from theft as well in other misuse of information. According to Network World, the United States Federal Communications Commission recently announce the newest services initiated by the joint project of network providers and the government agency to block the stolen device.

The number of smartphones theft reports are rising all over the country and as their answer for this problem, they officially launched a stolen mobile phone database where owners can immediately direct their concern. Blocking a SIM card is already common for the scenario but thefts can replace it and let the device works for other network providers.

Stolen Smartphone in United States

Furthermore, blocking the IMEI number of a device is a different technique to secure the privacy and even the future usage of the stolen phone. Network providers can automatically block this unique ID and leave it dead for good. This device identifier is like a VIN, unchangeable and nobody can replaced it because of its purpose.

T-Mobile as well AT&T are the first two pioneering network providers who are joining the said project. You can directly report your concern to their nearest outlets in your area. They are capable of reporting your problem to a centralized database system that will block the IMEI of your stolen smartphone. Police departments are also joining to solve the possible case.

And before we can forget, other network providers like Sprint and Verizon are also working for their own system to help their consumers to protect their smartphones. Aside from them, Nex-Tech as well Cellcom, small-scale carriers in the U.S. are also extending their hands with the government.

It's time for you to be more vigilant and direct your concerns to your mobile phone network provider if you are one of the newest victim of smartphone theft. Hopefully, this project will also extends its services to the users of tablet computers with the same features soon. And be responsible of your gadgets especially in public.

HP Envy Spectre XT Notebook with Intel Core i5 CPU

I spotted HP's Envy Spectre XT recently in a detailed review made by Slash Gear. And somehow, this machine amaze me because of its underlying technology starting from its solid-state drive (SSD) storage to a 4GB of DDR3 memory. Aside from that, it is powered by Intel Core i5-3317U processor (1.7GHz) which can probably boast its entire performance for processing high-definition (HD) video and large images, right? However, I handed a predecessor of this notebook few weeks ago and tried to figure out the similarities but failed to catch the main stream of its performance because of some irregularities in storage media.

The 128GB SSD storage of Spectre XT is not common to some ultrabook in the market. Upgrades is currently available to utilize a maximum of 256GB size but the one used by my source is already packed with a much lower storage media. And what is good about it, upgrade is much easier because of the wide variety of exchangeable device.

HP Envy Spectre XT Intel Core i5 Notebook

Envy Spectre XT supports 1366 x 768-pixels resolution just like of any notebook computers with 13-inches screens. It is supported by Intel 4000 GPU (built-in) but according to other reports, this is not a good choice for PC gaming. Much better to choose NVidia GeForce and this might be the shortcoming of this model. And aside from that, it is also bundled with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

Complete specs of Spectre XT is currently available in official website of HP and you can try to look around for other important details that will give you a more clearer view of the entire machine. Asking for what makes this notebook stands over the other brands? Probably, its aluminum and metallic design in-and-out is the very eye-catching feature.

And before we can forget, it is currently available in most of HP's recognized outlets in United States as well in other countries.

Nokia Lumia 920 Colorful Photo

All we have to do now is to seat back and wait for other important details. There is no official release date yet but expect these smartphones in AT&T soon. Reviews coming from other technology enthusiasts sites for Lumia phones remind us of their business strategy that could crippled their own legs while in the race.

And their advantage? Probably, the colorful and stylish design could attract anyone to catch a piece of Lumia in the future aside from its performance and unique features from other phones.

The rivalry in mobile phone industry continue while Apple and Samsung are working on the other side of the battle.

Bloodhound SSC to Run 1000 Miles Per Hour Speed

While Kia Motors is on their way to bring us a superheroes-inspired car, on the other side, a Bloodhound SSC is up for their attempt to reached a maximum of 1000-miles per hour speed. The maker are now reinventing the wheels of a supersonic vehicle to compete the speed of sound as well for bullets. It is quite difficult to explain but according to report, they are really working so hard for this unusual craft.

Furthermore, we do not know the entire specs of Bloodhound but it is packed with a rocket module and a very powerful engine. The aerodynamic design of this car is like a pencil with a slightly wide wings in both sides. It has a fighter plane propulsion that could boast its performance like a regular aircraft. The combination of each part can bring a boasting power of unimaginable capacity.

Bloodhound SSC Supersonic Car

And guess what, it is also equipped with Formula One and rocket technology made by renowned auto-manufacturer in United States. It has a light aluminum body that could change the force of gravity into zero as it move. Some of its parts are also made of titanium, a strong material that could give a safety operation for the driver.

However, this car is not official for any race because of its unique and bizarre possible performance. The maker of Bloodhound SSC already tested their engine and firefighter jet turbo recently. As a result, it shows a few danger not only for the driver but also for those folks who would like to take a glimpse as they put it in test.

Handful of photos of Bloodhound SSC are now available on the line. You can also catch its video in YouTube during the development stage of the supersonic car.

Facebook Owner Claimed to Reached One Billion Users

No doubt because Facebook is one of the most fast growing social networking site nowadays. However, sometimes, we are turning our back in positive and negative effects of these entity of the web, right? How many of them sacrificed their lives because of this website? What is going on with your own account? Is there somebody watching your every moves as you click your friends updates from your wall?

As tablet computers and smartphones learns to embrace the power of Facebook applications, we can immediately access our account at no time as long that a 3G/4G network and Wi-Fi hot spots are available.

Facebook Active Users in 2012

Furthermore, Mark Zuckerberg recently confirmed in Bloomberg Businessweek that they can cater an about 600-million mobile users these days based on their statistics and reports. And a total of about 1-billion users per month is a scary side to think about for the owner and people who are currently concern for the great crowd on the line.

We do not know of what will going to happen if Facebook will suddenly shutdown without a prior notice to its user. We cannot even imagine if this social networking site becomes a necessity for anyone around the globe. People are divided by their thoughts on how to use it properly and the freedom to express ourselves is a conventional routine that could bring harm in our way.

Actually, I am not against Facebook but somehow, others are creating a multiple account with a fake details. And according to a recent report, the reputation of this website started to decline as they decided to make a twists on their business, and that is to go for a public bid. They are now facing a vulnerable performance in stock market which costs a lot of money from few investors who believed on their capacity.

These one-billion users are not probably aware of what they can get in the near future when Facebook decided to bring a lot of advertisements crawling from any part of their homepage. And my suggestion is, we need to educate our self on how to be responsible in what we are doing. Posting anything in your wall is not a big deal but could possibly take a few stuff seconds of your time in your entire life.

Kia Motors is Building a Justice League Inspired Cars

DC Entertainment is joining Kia Motors to build a futuristic cars inspired by Justice League superheroes. According to our source, these new breeds of vehicles is like a re-branded models with a not so sophisticated design. They are probably planning to bring a colorful lines with a matching theme from a cartoon characters.

It is great to hear this but for now, we would like to hear a much cheaper model, a fuel-efficient car that could reached a maximum of about 50mpg mileage. Honda, Toyota, and other competing brands are working on this side but Kia is moving in a different track and that is to uplift their style.
