Steve Appleton, CEO and Chairman of Micron Technology Passed Away

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Micron Technology, Inc., Steve Appleton passed away this Friday, February 3, 2012. A sudden and unexpected plane crash at Boise Airport in Idaho cause his death. He's been with the company since the early age of the first microcomputers. The time when Bill Gates and Steve Jobs started their own businesses. He died at the age of 51 and he survived by his children and wife.

In addition to this tragic report about of what happened to Appleton, his company is formerly one of the leading microchips producer and other computer hardware. Crucial as well Lexar memory is one of their latest products which is now available in some ultra-portable and desktop machines. They are one of reputable semiconductor manufacturer in United States as well probably in other countries around the world.

Steve has been listed as one of Fortune 500 youngest CEO way back in 1994 at the age of 34. He graduated from Boise State University and he entered Micron at the same year after his graduation. He received Robert Noyce prestigious award given by Semiconductor Industry Association last year because of his intellectual contribution.

And before we can forget, we are not referring to a young musician who also named Steve Appleton. We are extending our deepest gratitude to man who able to change the history of our technology.
