BlackBerry PlayBook vs iPad, What's Your Bet?

The rivalry of BlackBerry PlayBook and iPad is about to start as RIM recently introduces their camera-enabled handheld machine this Monday in San Francisco's developer conference. Mike Lazaridis keynote bring the long-timed rumored device to reality. Far from what we have heard before, this 7-inches device will not be called a BlackPad and will join the competition of tablet PC by 2011.

If you're familiar with Samsung Galaxy, the size of RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook is quite small but this model will come with a 3-megapixels built-in webcam which is not actually available with Apple's very own iPad. For now, there is no words for pricing or exact availability date for this new surpring computer but you can expect it by next year as noted by the latest updates and news sources.

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM with Intel Atom N550 CPU

The new Asus Eee PC 1015PEM appeared recently in Netbook News review, a dual-core Intel Atom N550 treated model which is now available for about $400 but the price vary base on your chosen configuration. Laptop Magazine also showed out their own detailed test for the above mentioned machine but we will try to share a little stuff we just heard for this.

It is now the type of computer that posses the common specs you can get from the other brands, especially with a typical 720-pixel high definition video playback support and behind is the Intel GMA 3150 GPU. Others compared this mini-laptop to Acer Aspire One D255 because their supporting devices within is quite similar just like what they have shared in review.

A 7-Inch iPad is Real?

Although for now, there are few folks talking about the 7-inches wide Apple iPad and there is no official statement from the manufacturer if they are currently developing an iPhone-size model. According to reports, this version of Steve Jobs upcoming tablet will become available by next year along with a 10-inches one. Rumors set a good idea for everyone of us, a Cortex-A9 powered handheld machine with the same screen resolution to netbook computers (1024 x 768-pixel), and taking advantage the style of their mobile phones.

On the other side, Netbook News reported a new MacBook Air, an 11.6-inches model which will become available by next month with a Core i-series CPU, thinnest design, and much lighter than the current one in stores. Check some more soon after this break.

Entourage Pocket Edge Dual-Screen E-Reader

Since the start of this year, we heard a lot of new upcoming e-reader from different manufacturers especially on the early January CES and Entourage doesn't missed to introduce few of their models. Slash Gear reported a dual-screen piece which will be called Pocket Edge which will be packed with Google Android applications just like the common models they already have in stores.

Acer Aspire Revo 3700 Nettop with Intel Atom D525 CPU

Just of few weeks ago, Acer introduced their new Aspire Revo 3700, of course, it's not the usual stuff we can hear from Toyota, instead, it was a nettop PC which sports Intel Atom D525 processor plus an NVidia Ion GPU. This might be a single-core powered model, one of their newest version with a much better processing speed compared to its predecessor as noted by Netbook News recently.

Actually, there is no official statement yet from Research in Motion Ltd. (RIM) if they are currently developing an Apple iPad rival or not but the recent tech event in San Francisco unveiled the word BlackPad, a pretty confusing name for a tablet or mobile phone from Black Berry line. What we are trying to figure out for now is that, are they all ready to face the challenge in computer manufacturing? Especially in the midst of competition?

HTC Mobile Running an iOS4 Clone!
