Asus Eee PC T91, 3G Modem Upgrade

An Asus Eee PC T91 model recently appeared in JKK Mobile, apparently, an upgraded version which has been added with a 3G modem. While computer manufacturer starts to deliver machines with few shortcomings because probably of their own reason, there are still folks who are just hanging around to look for few steps and available guide on how to make a little jailbreaking for those computers. Just like what the said source made for an Eee PC T91 netbook.

It's a convertible model, a touch-screen enabled machine. Under the hood is an Intel Atom Z520 processor at 1.33GHz clock speed with GMA 500 graphics support, with 8.9-inches 1024 x 600-pixels display, and pre-equipped with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity.

At first, we think a risky thing made by JKK Mobile cause PCI Express card is quite difficult to modify since you need to do a little soldering techniques for a 3G modem module. And far as far as what we know, he still find a correct place where to hook it up and let this devices runs in a matter of difficult steps.

Other than adding the above mentioned task for 3G device upgrade, series of steps has been posted by the said source in video on how to open or remove the external cover of Asus Eee PC T91 computer, upgrade for SSD and how to access some important panels available for modification. Intel Atom N450 vs N470 CPU

Netbooked recently do a little tricky thing for Intel's two netbook processors, the Intel Atom N450 which is most common as early as December 2009 and the other N470 platform which come next the other. Peter of the said source who made this test used a Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3s with the newest N470 and IdeaPad S10-3 machine with N450.

We cannot exactly determine the series of test he made for the two machines, what type of applications he run on both models or other things within which could probably interfere the performances of the two Intel processors. It is quite confusing but somehow, he manage to show us the real thing from his computers.

According to result, in terms of Windows support performance of CPU's, N470 hits a score of 2.5 while the other model shows a little difference of 2.3. And from the other result like memory operations and graphics performance, surprisingly, the both machines shows a similar result of 4.5 and 3.0 respectively. So it means, these two platform are all good for playing typical 720-pixels video along with some light available applications installed.

Here is Netbooked benchmark result as he compared these two computer scores in some series of test:
Intel Atom N450 vs N470

After all, Intel Atom N470 shows a much quicker or gets a much higher score than the N450 but it is a very slight difference which could not totally boost the two Lenovo's netbook in a high speed performances, but all shows a regular thing that can be done by a mini-laptop computers.
